artifact is a mobile recording studio and post-production facility based in Trento, Italy. It was founded in 2012 by Marco Ober, sound engineer graduated at the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale of Saluzzo (CN) in 2005.
artifact is specialised in audio editing and mixing for pop/rock, jazz, electronic, and classical productions; with its mobile recording studio, it delivers recordings for pop/rock bands, choirs, string quartets, orchestras, and other individual acoustic instruments or ensembles. It also supplies sound design, editing and mixing for short subjects, documentaries, commercials, and feature film, as well as recording and post production of film music.
artifact employs a state-of-the-art recording chain and a rich, constantly updated set of plug-ins for editing and mixing. The production and arrangement processes are valued by a vast collection of virtual instruments, amp emulators, and drums samples.
The studio relies on Pro Tools HD Software, hardware technologies from API, Neve, Manley, Lynx, Schoeps, Neumann, Microtech Gefell, Radial, software plug-ins from Universal Audio, Slate Digital, Waves, FabFilter, Sonnox, iZotope, PSP, bass/guitar amplifier modeling from IK Multimedia, Brainworx, Overloud, and virtual instrument libraries from Vienna Symphonic Library, East West, Soniccouture, Native Instruments. Studio wiring is fully entrusted to Evidence and Mogami cables. Sound design for video is enriched with a tailored, custom-picked sound effects library licensed by PSE.
